The dual colored LED indicator lamp will emit a green color when the unit is
powered up and paper is present in the printhead assembly, it will flash red
then green repeatedly when out of paper, and will emit a solid red color
when in a failure mode. The solid red color indicates factory service is
needed.
If the printer can print the self-test described above but will not
print data received from the DMU then check the positions of the DIP
switches on the rear of unit, the cable to the DMU, and the output of the
DMU itself. Garbage output is usually indicative of improper DIP switch
settings. (Note: If any DIP switch settings are changed the unit must be
powered off then back on before the new settings will take effect.)
